KORG USER COMMENTS ABOUT THE 2011 MUSCICAL RESOURCES

 

Hallo allerseits,
ich möchte hier mal einen Erfahrungsbericht posten. Ich bin reiner Hobby-Musiker 70+. Seit anderthalb Jahren besitze ich den PA500 Musikant, mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin. Ich spiele überwiegend Styles aber auch „live" mit einem zusätzlichen Basspedal. Nach einiger Zeit fehlten mir doch auch die internationale Styles, die ich von meinem früheren PA50 her kannte. Ich habe mir aus Holland, (die Insider wissen woher), überarbeitete Styles des PA500 für 25 €uronen gekauft und diesen nach einem kompletten Backup meines Musikanten, geladen. Inzwischen habe ich mal alles durchgespielt und muss sagen, ich bin begeistert. Es sind wirklich schöne Sachen dabei, zum Jazzen, zum Abrocken, schöne „Unplugget-Styles", Funk, Soul usw. Es sind natürlich auch einige dabei, die mich nicht vom Hocker reissen, das ist aber ja auch eine Geschmacksache. Mir gefällt, dass ich jetzt praktisch 2 Keys in Einem habe. Je nach Lust und Laune lade ich mir den Musikanten oder den Internationalen in mein Key. Wie gesagt, ich spiele nur aus Spass an der Freud und für mich ist ausschliesslich der Spassfaktor wichtig. Ich weiss nicht, wie die Profis unter Euch darüber denken, für mich hat sich die Ausgabe gelohnt.

ich möchte mich nochmals für Deine große, prompte Hilfe und für Deine gedult bedanken.
Mit Deiner neuen Software (Resources) macht es wirklich viel Spass zu spielen und vor allem der bessere Klang, der jetzt zu hören ist.
Ich hoffe, dass diese Mail bei Dir ankommt, ich hatte ein weni Startschwierigkeiten, bei der Anmeldung. Ich habe Dir ja schon mitgeteilt, dass ich kein Profi bin und mit der neuen Technik habe ich etwas Probleme.

Nochmals vielen Dank für Deine tolle Unterstützung und wir hören noch voneinander.

I paid john almost 45 euros for his work, and I could've paid him more if he would offered me a demo of his work before donation. I might add my old forgotten PA500 has come to life and now my motif XS6 and PSR-S900 are taking the dust for my live performances. I just don't get it, some users here are trying to 'save' their conscious only to look nice to the people at the forum. It really bothers me when some users tell John they like it but they won't use it anyway so no payment is necessary. Is it the truth, well we never know, at the end we have to honor all people giving them the benefit of doubt, honestly I highly doubt it they will simply discard such amazing customization. As I am a programmer too(system engineer), its too common to find people who will never appreciate the hard work. That is life. People spend 3K dollars for a keyboard and refuses to pay for addons. Keep it up John. there will be always people willing to support a professional work as the one you did with the PA500...

Hi everyone, I feel it's a shame when someone does something constructive and postive that some people look for the negatives and criticize them for it. John has put a lot of effort into creating his work and has offered this work for free - thats extremelly generous in my book. He has now decided to charge for his work, I dont blame him. He has a talent, why not charge for it? We all ought to be happy that guys and gals like John are around creating these add ons for our keyboards to keep them sounding fresh, I personally would love to have the time and talent to create styles, sounds and performances but I lead a busy life and the little time I do have to sit down and play is spent with presets that are either factory or created by someone else. If you dont want Johns files, Dont buy them if you do then pay the money the guy is asking for - that's upto you, but don't shoot the guy down for creating them in the first place and offering them up - at least you have a choice! there are some cheeky so and so,s on there who want the world,but complain when they have to pay a small amount for such a fantastic upgrade!!!.i bet Korg would ask a fortune for it!!..............steve

 

 

Hi John, I'm really really pleased with what you've achieved with the Korg work-over. So much so in fact that I have hardly switched the thing off since installing your software. Money well spent I think:-) Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.

 

Wow - John, you did some really cool things in this new setup - I feel like I got a new keyboard! (how about THAT for timing, huh?)
I tweaked a few things, saved a few setups and I'm taking a break from it for a bit, but I plan to go back to it after dinner tonight and fine tune it even more. I only wish Korg was as easy as Yamaha to cut and paste sounds, styles, bits & pieces and such ... There are so many little things I would do to customize it if only they were easier. I'll comment more later, but so far - it's a winner!    UNCLE DAVE  (USA)

Wie geschrieben, ich habe noch keine langen Erfahrungen mit dem Original-MUSIKANT, aber wenn ich vergleiche, dann gefällt mir deine Modifikation viel besser.

Yes John did a great job. I have a PA500 Musikant and at the moment it's just like having 3 different sounding keyboards. I can load the original sounds and styles of the PA500, the Musikant sounds and styles and the performances John created   FRANS N.  (Holland)

Hallo John,
Leider komme ich erst jetzt dazu, mich für die Zusendung der Musical Resources für den " Musikant " zu bedanken.
Es sind wirklich einige Sounds dabei die mir sehr gut gefallen haben und die ich in mein Keyboard übernommen habe. Außerdem hat es mich dazu animiert, selbst einmal Sounds zu editieren/verändern. Das macht Spaß,weil man dabei sein Keyboard immer besser kennenlernt.
Nachträglich möchte ich Dir auch noch herzlich zum Geburtstag gratulieren. Sowas geht in der Weihnachtszeit meistens unter, ich selbst kenne das auch :)

Okay, I have now had a chance to go through this data.
Very impressive John
I can see a LOT of work has gone into these.
In my view (and remember this is ONLY my opinion) , they are PERFECTLY suited to an experienced/intermediate Korg PA user, who does not want to bother with programming setups.
Even MORE so for new Korg PA owners, who want something more than "what's in the box".
What I can recommend is to anyone to at least try these and not dismiss them "out-of-hand", as you might just be pleasantly surprised.

Amazing job John , You have done an excellent job. That is what was missing in PA800 . sound quality ,you made it perfect .

I have loaded the whole set and it works fine. I have not had a lot of time to experiment. However the styles I have played seem full , if you know what I mean and they sound good.
